Forza Horizon 3 vs. Forza Horizon 4: Which is best?

By |

I love to drive! Whether it's online or in real life, the sensation of movement, power, and control that comes from operating an automobile at a high level of speed and control is exciting to me!

Of course, motorcycles, airplanes, helicopters and spacecraft offer a thrill and excitement that one might not know in the real world, but it is compelling to experience online!

But, the automobile is special. We all have seen them, taken rides in them, owned them, and lusted after them. Anyone with a license knows the basic physics involved, and it is something we can share and compare with each other in terms we all understand.

Back in the day, we used to race each other in arcades, or on a video game called Grand Turismo 3, and GT4 for PlayStation 2. It offered thrills and simulated the excitement of car travel and racing. Need for Speed was a cool title that allowed you to give damage and take damage to your vehicle in a more dramatic way than the games that came before it.

The Microsoft Forza Horizon Series, for X Box Console, however, took this idea light years ahead of any of the racing games before it. In Forza Horizon 3, for example, you are a race car driving personality, setting up racing festivals all across the Australian landscape! You are in control of the locations, and the types of races, terrain, name, and even weather conditions of the race! More opportunities to drift, fly through the air, crash into other vehicles, land, and terrain, are present than in any other racing game I had played up until then!

The Forza Horizon 4 Series is the current iteration, and takes us on an epic journey to Great Britain! There are increased abilities from the Horizon 3 game beyond locale, however. In Horizon 4 you can drive over the crest of mountains! You can catch mad air while soaring through the sky over the landscape and take a photo, in mid air! You can own homes, start businesses, customize your avatar, and program your avatars movements, while they are at times, out of their vehicles! Although, you cannot yet go into the properties you buy, with in game online credits, or possibly with available game packs purchased with cash, you can own multiple businesses, homes, vehicles, and property.

The Forza Horizon 4 game is optimized for 4K Ultra HD, High Definition, HDR, High Dynamic Range, and is enhanced for the X Box One X console! You will likely see more detail, increased ranges of color, and quicker performance, with the newer, X Box One X console! Personally, I enjoy being able to keep in touch with friends online, compete with other players, rivals online, and buying and selling vehicles in the simulated online auction.

What do you think about this game and this review? I purposely left some things out, so that I could focus on my faves, but what are your experiences and preferences with this game series? Hit me up in the comments section, in the link below. Happy Motoring!

Do You Have The Gear To Compete With The Top Gamers?

You really do need the tools to compete. It might not need be the most expensive, but your gear should help you do your best.

The ideal setup can include:

  • Special Gamer’s Chair
  • Backlit Keyboard
  • Hi-Performance Gamer’s Mouse
  • Gamer Headset with integrated microphone, noise cancellation, and super comfort!

Okay, cool! Now let’s talk about your rig’s processor power

  1. Increase the amount of RAM memory to at least 12 or more GB
  2. You need to have a powerful multi core processor.
  3. You will benefit from a hi-performance graphics card like NVidea GeForce Series or AMD Radeon Series.
  4. Your display should be large enough to immerse you in the game play. With Displays the refresh rate above 60Hz will improve your viewing of game play. 4K viewing screens offer more detailed visual effects, as well.
  5. Your keyboard and mouse should be corded for responsiveness.
  6. Your modem and router should be AC1750 or better. A CAT 6, rather than a CAT 5, Ethernet cord directly into your modem will speed up your connection. Both will fit in the same spot but CAT 6 is faster rating.
  7. You will want about 25 Mega bits per second download speed and 5 Mega bits per second upload speed or better, connection from your Internet Service Provider, ISP.

So how do you shape up?

You can buy new, or refurbished;  laptop, or desktop. Some people build their own rigs. Creating the best setup for you will take some time, effort, and some investment. But when it is complete, you will have a gamer’s console that you can be proud of!

Hey Guys: What is your favorite game?

By |

Hey Guys: What is your favorite game?

What is your favorite game? That seems like it would be a simplistic question, and an easy question to answer until you consider how many cool games are out right now, and the variety of experiences they have to offer.

If you like classic arcade games, then PacMan, Tetris, and Asteroids, which has been re-released in a small format arcade style games in some markets, might tickle your fancy. (Whatever that means...)

Then there are console games: If you can find one of the old Atari game consoles they are worth money. Did you have a favorite game for the Nintendo Wii platform? I liked Wii Sports Resort. It offers a variety of fun activities that utilize the gesture controls effectively. What was your favorite?

There's also the Sony PlayStation series of game consoles, that offered a lot of value and various games you might enjoy? What was your favorite? Do you play fantasy sport teams on your console? Many people enjoy the competitions. Choosing their favorite teams, players, etc in the ultimate matchup with friends is quite enjoyable!

Then there is XBox One X gaming and the XBox One S, and XBox 360 before it. It is cool how the modern games have increased speed, higher graphic detail, improved physics, in terms of motion, and realistics experiences with a variety of textures, surfaces, and density of materials inworld.

Nintendo Switch is an awesome game console, that offers a variety of ways to play: The console is a charging unit and allows for downloads. There is a moderately sized screen that allows portable play for one or two players! The colorful, and clever design fits well in your hand and allows for interactive play. Have you been able to get your hands on the Nintendo Switch yet?

Think about it and describe your favorite game, console, and experience in our comments section. Welcome to RoboGameBot.com!
