Do You Have The Gear To Compete With The Top Gamers?
You really do need the tools to compete. It might not need be the most expensive, but your gear should help you do your best.
The ideal setup can include:
- Special Gamer’s Chair
- Backlit Keyboard
- Hi-Performance Gamer’s Mouse
- Gamer Headset with integrated microphone, noise cancellation, and super comfort!
Okay, cool! Now let’s talk about your rig’s processor power
- Increase the amount of RAM memory to at least 12 or more GB
- You need to have a powerful multi core processor.
- You will benefit from a hi-performance graphics card like NVidea GeForce Series or AMD Radeon Series.
- Your display should be large enough to immerse you in the game play. With Displays the refresh rate above 60Hz will improve your viewing of game play. 4K viewing screens offer more detailed visual effects, as well.
- Your keyboard and mouse should be corded for responsiveness.
- Your modem and router should be AC1750 or better. A CAT 6, rather than a CAT 5, Ethernet cord directly into your modem will speed up your connection. Both will fit in the same spot but CAT 6 is faster rating.
- You will want about 25 Mega bits per second download speed and 5 Mega bits per second upload speed or better, connection from your Internet Service Provider, ISP.
So how do you shape up?
You can buy new, or refurbished; laptop, or desktop. Some people build their own rigs. Creating the best setup for you will take some time, effort, and some investment. But when it is complete, you will have a gamer’s console that you can be proud of!
What is your favorite game? That seems like it would be a simplistic question, and an easy question to answer until you consider how many cool games are out right now, and the variety of experiences they have to offer.
If you like classic arcade games, then PacMan, Tetris, and Asteroids, which has been re-released in a small format arcade style games in some markets, might tickle your fancy. (Whatever that means...)
Then there are console games: If you can find one of the old Atari game consoles they are worth money. Did you have a favorite game for the Nintendo Wii platform? I liked Wii Sports Resort. It offers a variety of fun activities that utilize the gesture controls effectively. What was your favorite?
There's also the Sony PlayStation series of game consoles, that offered a lot of value and various games you might enjoy? What was your favorite? Do you play fantasy sport teams on your console? Many people enjoy the competitions. Choosing their favorite teams, players, etc in the ultimate matchup with friends is quite enjoyable!
Then there is XBox One X gaming and the XBox One S, and XBox 360 before it. It is cool how the modern games have increased speed, higher graphic detail, improved physics, in terms of motion, and realistics experiences with a variety of textures, surfaces, and density of materials inworld.
Nintendo Switch is an awesome game console, that offers a variety of ways to play: The console is a charging unit and allows for downloads. There is a moderately sized screen that allows portable play for one or two players! The colorful, and clever design fits well in your hand and allows for interactive play.
